Mr. Sussman has obtained millions of dollars on behalf of clients who have been falsely accused, convicted and incarcerated for crimes they did not commit. He negotiated City and State of New York settlements for Brooklyn exonerees David Ranta, Alvena Jennette, Darryl Austin and Robert Hill.  In 2015, Mr. Sussman prevailed on behalf of Rosean Hargrave, who was wrongfully convicted of Second Degree Murder and incarcerated for 24 years. After all appeals were exhausted by prior counsel and the case laid dormant for decades, Mr. Sussman secured a hearing and won the client's release within months. Most recently, Mr. Sussman joined efforts with attorneys Edelstein and Grossman in securing the release of Steven Odiase close to seven years into his sentence for a Bronx murder conviction.
